A Life of Its Own 

The move to establish a veterinary college in Tennessee really did have a life of its own. As early as 1967, interest was developing, although not yet developed within the university.

Opening Doors 

A UT College of Veterinary Medicine program that began in 1993 to provide opportunities to high school students to learn about veterinary medicine is now in its 31st year.

David Brian, an inspirational professor, mentor, imaginative cook and researcher, joined the UT College of Veterinary Medicine as its first faculty member in 1976.
